Victory Under Extreme Storms -- ZKFN Fights Double Typhoons, Guarding a Green Future!!
On September 16, 2024, this year's 13th typhoon "Bebinca" landed in Shanghai as a severe typhoon. This typhoon surpassed the No. 4906 "Gloria", becoming the strongest typhoon to land in Shanghai since 1949, with maximum winds reaching level 14 (42m/s). After "Bebinca" landed, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, and other places were hit by strong winds. Three days later, the 14th typhoon "Pulasan" landed in Zhejiang again, bringing gale-force winds of about level 10 to Shanghai, Jiangsu, and other places. These two consecutive super typhoons posed a severe test for PV power stations, and the economic losses caused by damaged power stations deeply worried owners and investors.
After the baptism of these double typhoons, the ZKFN technical team traveled to multiple projects in Shanghai, Wuxi, Suzhou, and other places for on-site inspections, witnessing the outstanding performance of ZKFN's flexible modules under extreme weather together with the owners!!
Stop 1: Shanghai
Shanghai was the hardest-hit area of this typhoon, with wind forces reaching level 14. The ZKFN team first inspected the Shanghai Jinsha Industry project and the Shanghai Metro Fujin Road Base project.
In the Shanghai Jinsha Industry project, surveillance video on the day the typhoon landed recorded the stable performance of the modules in the gale. Although the wind was raging, the modules remained steadfast, demonstrating their excellent typhoon resistance!!!
The Shanghai Metro Fujin Road Base is ZKFN's largest flexible module project in Shanghai, with an installed capacity of 4.7MW. Even after the fierce attack of the typhoon, the flexible modules in the project remained completely unscathed, showing extremely strong wind pressure resistance.
Stop 2: Suzhou
The ZKFN team arrived in Suzhou and successively visited the Art Duck Digital Cultural and Creative Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, Changshu Ouruite Commercial Equipment Co., Ltd., and Changshu Maduomei Garment Co., Ltd. projects. Inspecting the conditions of these projects after the typhoon, they found that all flexible modules were still firmly attached to the roofs without any impact, showing excellent wind resistance!!
Stop 3: Wuxi
Finally, the team arrived in Wuxi and inspected the projects of Jiangyin Guangyin Non-woven Products Co., Ltd. and Wuxi Wangxing Curtain Wall Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd.
The Guangyin Non-woven Products Co., Ltd. project consists of both ZKFN flexible module and conventional glass module power stations. On-site surveys showed that the conventional glass module power station was affected by the typhoon, and the site was scattered, with large areas blown off and damaged, while the ZKFN flexible module power station remained intact, highlighting its strong wind resistance!!
The flexible module project of Wuxi Wangxing Curtain Wall Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. has been connected to the grid for more than a year. Despite experiencing a strong typhoon, the structure of the modules remains stable without any damage, and the power generation effect has not been affected at all.
Technical Advantages of ZKFN Flexible Modules
ZKFN flexible modules use special encapsulation materials to replace traditional tempered glass front panels, which greatly reduces the weight of the modules while making their bending performance more outstanding. Under the action of wind pressure brought by typhoons, the surface of the module will experience vibration and shaking, which puts higher demands on the module's anti-micro-crack ability.
Through self-developed fiber composite materials and a unique encapsulation process, ZKFN has endowed the modules with excellent bending and vibration resistance, effectively preventing cell micro-cracks!!
To further verify the performance of the modules, the ZKFN technical team conducted EL spot checks on the modules that had experienced the typhoon at the Wuxi Wangxing Curtain Wall project. A total of 35 modules were sampled, and the test results were all qualified, further proving the excellent quality of ZKFN flexible modules.
