1 Project Overview

In Jingxing County, Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, a traditional coal storage and transportation company—Zhonglian Railway Transport Storage Center—completed a remarkable "green transformation". Facing the trend of energy transition and high energy costs, the enterprise relied on ZKFN SOLAR's SolarVela 520W flexible lightweight modules to build a 5.5MW distributed PV power station.

The project adopts the model of "self-generation for self-use, surplus power to the grid", which significantly reduces electricity costs while obtaining continuous revenue through surplus power sales, achieving a win-win situation for both the economy and the environment.

2 Project Challenges

However, the implementation of the project faced realistic challenges—the coal shed needed to overcome fire hazards and coal dust cleaning problems. In addition, the roof is a spherical space frame T-shaped color steel tile structure, which poses difficulties such as strict load limits, complex structure, and large curved surfaces. If traditional modules were used, frequent drilling would damage the waterproof layer and even affect the structural safety.

Facing these technical difficulties, ZKFN SOLAR's SolarVela 520W flexible lightweight modules accurately matched the scenario requirements:

1 Safety First, Eliminating Hidden Dangers from the Source

The module adopts revolutionary anti-micro-crack technology, combined with special cell treatment and composite encapsulation processes. In the final acceptance stage, systematic infrared scanning of all modules on site ensures that the cells remain intact under continuous bending and vibration on the curved roof, fundamentally eliminating hot spots, degradation, and fire risks, and ensuring the safe operation of the power station for 25 years.

2 Efficient Power Generation: Excellent Environmental Adaptability

The bending radius of the module can reach 0.3 meters, which can naturally fit the spherical space frame structure, thereby increasing the installed capacity. Its super-hydrophobic surface and frameless design provide self-cleaning capabilities, and combined with an efficient heat dissipation structure, it can effectively cope with the coal dust environment and reduce power generation losses.

3 Lightweight Installation: Excellent Full-Lifecycle Economy

ZKFN SOLAR's flexible lightweight modules weigh less than 1/3 of traditional modules, and their lightweight design eliminates the need for roof reinforcement. Combined with direct pasting installation, it significantly reduces the construction difficulty and cost of the spherical space frame structure, thereby significantly reducing the total system investment and shortening the payback period.
